World Consumer Rights Day observed by the Department of Economics, SJC(A)

The Department of Economics, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, joined the rest of the world to observe the World Consumer Rights Day on 15th March, 2022, with NVCO president, Kezhokhoto Savi reasserting on the importance for all consumer rights and demands.

He highlighted the power of consumers and emphasized on their right to safety, right to be informed and right to awareness. And, at the same exhorted on the importance of every consumer; their duties and responsibilities like obtaining receipts, checking manufacturing and expiry dates, ISI and FSSAI certifications, etc.

Addressing to the students, he delivered that they are even more responsible of Consumer’s Rights and encouraged them to contribute to the society. He added that the State Consumer Helpline with Toll free No 18003453701  is always available for any consumer grievances.
