St. Joseph’s organises Eureka Science Fest

Students interact during the 4th Eureka Science Fest at St. Joseph’s College on July 7.


Zoology department of St, Joseph’s College (SJC), Jakhama, in collaboration with the department of botany and chemistry, has organised the 4th Eureka Science Fest on July 7 at SJC indoor stadium, Jakhama.

The event was graced by Amba Jamir, executive director of Sustainable Development Forum Nagaland (SDFN), who was the motivational speaker of the event. Students from various departments including students from other colleges like Kohima Science College and Model Christian College have participated in the fest.

The speaker Amba Jamir has stressed on the minimum use of plastics and the environmental problems associated with it.

The events included various interesting items like brain storming, power point presentation, Eureka idol, exhibition, dance, Mr and Miss Eureka etc. In the various competitions, department of chemistry emerged as the overall champion.

The programme began with an invocation said by Sr. Susai, Dean of Science SJC, Jakhama, followed by a welcome address delivered by Limasunep Aier, president of Zoology department, SJC Jakhama. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms Avino Angami, general secretary of the department of zoology, SJC Jakhama.
