St. Joseph’s College celebrate Fresher’s Day

St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama celebrated Fresher’s Day on June 29 at the college auditorium.

Principal of the college, Rev. Dr. Fr. Sebastian Ousepparampil in his message emphasized on “the need to be sympathetic and helpful human beings despite hardships and difficulties faced in life,” informed a press release from the college.

Special guest Deputy Commissioner, Kohima Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS, also delivered an inspiring and motivational speech, it said. Recollecting his life experiences, the DC urged the young students to set their goals and targets in life and pursue them with resolve, perseverance, and discipline.


The event saw a motivational skit titled ‘The Miracle of Motivation’ performed by Drama Club, speech from the president of Students’ Council, SJC, Weneizo Mero, performance of a song, ‘What do I Know’ by Mid-Classic, a dance by the ‘Fancy Swaggers’, presentation of ‘Counting Stars’ song by Nilanuo Metha.
