Academic and Administration, Audit (AAA) team members deputed by directorate of Higher Education, Kohima, Government of Nagaland, comprising of convenor, Dr Ranjan Kumar Behera, and members Dr. Watijungshi Jamir and Dr. Visakhono Hibo inspected St Joseph College, Jakhama on July 17.
During the reception ceremony at conference hall, the team was welcomed by assistant professor, department of English, James H. K.
Members of the AAA team were also given time to express their views.
Later, presentations were made by the principal of SJC, Rev. Fr. Dr. Sebastian Ousseparampil; IQAC Coordinator,
Fr. George Anthony; and Library Committee headed by Rev. Fr. Joy Thomas. Other important presentations of the eleven departments of the college were also made.
The team members inspected various facilities like library, language lab., waste management, auditorium, playground, counselling centre, museum, botanical garden, mini zoo, health centre, NCC offices, canteens etc.
The team also held separate interactions with the students’ body, non-teaching staff, and the teaching staff. The visit came to an end with an exit meeting, during which the members of the AAA team presented their observations and assessment of the day.
According to assistant professor, department of English, James H. K, the team members were confident that St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama would be granted Autonomous Status when UGC Inspection team visits the college in August, 2018, as scheduled.Pages:
